Steven brings over 13 years of experience in the KC service and real estate industry as a licensed home inspector and home remodeler. He is recognized around the metro as a seasoned professional with the utmost integrity.

When Steven isn’t working, he enjoys going to Kansas City Chiefs games, traveling and spending his free time with his wife and three daughters.

OWNER + VP OF OPERATIONS

Working behind the scenes on our day-to-day operations is Ben who creates a smooth and easy remodeling process for our clients. He ensures timelines are met, clients are happy and our backend systems are functioning as needed. Before starting Renovating KC, Ben worked as an executive director at a senior living facility for many years.

Ben lives in Overland Park and is happily married to his wife Jocelyn. The two share a son and daughter together.

OWNER + VP OF CONSTRUCTION

On the jobs daily working with our contractors is Chris. Chris oversees project management and makes sure our team is where they need to be with the tools to succeed. With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Chris knows this business like the back of his hand. He has a wide variety of skills that include framing and carpentry.

Outside of work, when Chris is not spending time with his wife Stacy and their son Corbin, Chris loves to hunt, hike and spend time outdoors.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

As the Director of Operations, Alex, oversees all aspects of the Design, Planning and Construction processes. Alex's focus is on ensuring the Renovating KC team is equipped to provide customers with the best possible experience and that all projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.

Alex has over a decade of experience in sales and customer service. Prior to joining Renovating KC, Alex spent time working in the commercial design & build industry managing and overseeing the delivery of multi-million dollar projects for customers in the Professional Sports, Collegiate Athletics and Pediatric Healthcare. Alex is a systems driven person and has a knack for turning complex challenges and problems into solvable solutions. He brings a passion for serving, mentoring and leading to the Renovating KC team and its customers.

INTERIOR DESIGNER

As interior designer, Kara works with the client to take their dreams and inspiration and turn it into reality through floor plans, 3D modeling, finishes. She workd side by side with the client through every step of the design phase (Discovery, Concept, Construction).

From an early passion for design, Kara's journey led her to Kansas State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and began her career for three years in the commercial realm. Kara discovered a newfound love for residential design, where she can blend creativity, design, and function into unique spaces. She takes joy in cultivating meaningful client relationships, approaching each project as a collaborative journey towards crafting unique and personalized spaces.
